The following are 10 dark sides to love that we should all always be aware of: 1) You might never find your other half. “Before I met my husband I was a very happy person , very popular and I had lots of friends . When I was 25 years old I moved from Brazil to Brazil for graduate studies in London , there I found my husband . When I arrived to London I knew there was something special about him because his eyes were like stars and he wanted to marry me. Luckily, my parents gave us their blessing . My husband is very successful , you can find him at the top of the class . He is intelligent , handsome and has a great career, but I soon learned that there was another side to him. He was an alcoholic , he had an addiction problem and he also suffered from clinical depression. When I found out that my husband drank during our first anniversary, I decided to try an intervention with him, but he didn’t take it seriously. In fact when he realized that I would go through with it, there was no way around it. Things started to get tough. I came home one night, and he threatened me with a knife. He said that he would kill himself if I left him. It was very hard for me to take care of him , I had to change my career , stop studying and have a child because he pushed me into it . I didn’t have time or money because I had to work two jobs. I worked as an accountant in the morning and at night, my husband used to beat me until I got injured .
